Mr Panos Makrides is the only surgeon in the Midlands specialising in minimally invasive hip surgery, utilising a new approach (also known as the direct superior approach).
The advanced approach to hip surgery uses very small incisions rather than a larger one which reduces any damage to the muscles and tendons surrounding the hip, which in turn means a smaller scar and a quicker recovery period.
